Nineteenth century black morocco backed marbled paper covered boards, spine with raised bands in six compartments, lettered in the second, the others with a repeat decoration in gilt, marbled endpapers, top edge gilt

Rare folio work illustrated with hand coloured plates on the costume of the Low Countries, originally issued in fourteen parts. Although the title identifies this volume as the first series, no further parts were published. "It is the most variegated costume book of the Low Countries" (Landwehr).
