An important dendrological work by Duhamel de Monceau, "one of the outstanding botanists of the eighteenth century" (Raphael).
In this treatise, among the final works published in his lifetime, Duhamel focusses on tree farming, landscaping, forestry and grafting. First published in 1760, this second edition is not recorded by the usual bibliographies on the subject. The final section includes additions to his "Traite des Arbres." Scarce.
