Lovely example of a rare Danish color plate costume book of the local trades and military.
"Civil and military costumes of Denmark, street vendors, small merchants. Colas states there was an edition dated 1818 [the present edition undated] ... The plates in this work were also issued as part of Lahde's Kjobenhavns Klaederdragter" (The Exotic and the Beautiful). The present example in a lovely binding by noted Belgian binder Charles de Samblanx.
