Publisher's brown cloth, covers blocked in blind, upper cover titled in gilt, expertly rebacked to style.
A rare Confederate almanac, with an early printing of the South Carolina Ordinance of Secession.
The alamanac includes a listing of the delegates from each county to the South Carolina Convention and the text of the Ordinance to dissolve the Union. Stated on the title as the third edition, this rare almanac is the first edition to include South Carolina's Ordinance of Secession (inserted unpaginated after page 28), arguably making it the earliest Confederate almanac.
