An expanded edition of Purdy's New Sailing Directions for the Caribbee or West-India Islands (1818). Largely written by Purdy, the work includes information derived from Don Cosme Churruc and Don F. Fidalgo, as well as Thomas Backhouse and others. Includes detailed sailing directions to Barbadoes, Tobago, Trinidad, Tortuga, St. Vincent, St. Lucia, Martinique, Guadaloupe, Antigua, Nevis, St. Barts, the Virgin Islands, Porto Rico and more. Among the additions to this addition is a chapter on West Indian hurricanes.
