The Botanist's Repository, for New, and Rare Plants. Containing Coloured Figures of Such Plants, as Have Not Hitherto Appeared in any Similar Publication. [Vol. III]

London: T. Bensley for the Author, 1797. 1 volume only, quarto. (10 1/2 x 8 inches). 72 hand-coloured engraved plates by and after Andrews printed in black or green ink and heightened with gum arabic.

Fine green morocco, spine in six compartments with raised bands, gilt edges, marbled endpapers.

Volume 3 of this work, where the plates are ordered according to Linnaean classification.

The plants included, which include geraniums and camellias, tend to be more exotic than the average European botanical work: as the sub-title makes clear this work is dedicated to plants which "have not hitherto appeared in any similar publication."
