Johan Anton Adolf Carlsson Warberg was a Swedish officer who took part as Lieutenant-Colonel in the Union Army in the Civil War. He published this two-part memoir containing a series of ten letters from Washington, Camp of Fremont in Shenandoah Valley, New York, New Orleans, St. Louis, Philadelphia, etc. It includes maps and illustrations of people and events, such as Washington's grave, war scenes, and a paddlewheeler on the Mississippi River, and information about war operations and army organization.
